Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss (born August 21, 1967[1(born on August 21, 1967[1]) is a Canadian actor from Canada. After her initial television roles her fame grew due to her part in The Matrix series (1999 to the present). She has been featured in Memento (2000) in which she won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Supporting Actress, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006) for which she was awarded the Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, Disturbia (2007), Unthinkable (2010), Silent Hill: Revelation (2012) and Pompeii (2014). Jessica Jones (2015) to 2019 was her most recent television series. She also appeared in Jeri Hogarth. Moss was in Spain at the time, was offered the role as Tara Marshall who served as the clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall, in Dark Justice. This was her first TV appearance. In 1992, she moved with the series from Barcelona to Los Angeles. Moss was sacked from Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn as Samantha Collins. She attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena after her return and later, she appeared on Fox's primetime soap opera Models Inc., a spin-off of Melrose Place, as a model. The series was cancelled on July 25, 1995. Matrix was a short-lived made in Canada series. 3 Throughout the 1990s, she was a part of in a variety of television shows including Street Justice, Baywatch, F/X: The Series, and Due South, for which she won the Gemini Award for Best Guest actor in drama. A lot of her film roles in the decade were in B movies, including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (1994), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) as well as The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
